Ella
Breathtakingly surrounded by acres of tropical wilderness, mountains and flowing streams, Ella is a beautiful small village in Sri Lanka's hill country with little more than a handful of shops, hotels and guesthouses. It has a perfect climate and occupies a very scenic vantage point, with views the South Coast of Sri Lanka.
Travellers can reach Ella just 30 minutes from Bandarawela and 240 kilometres from Colombo at the edge of the dry zone.
Most tourists visit Ella since it is an ideal base to trek and explore the majestic mountains with panoramic views. If go to the dry zone jungles one can see a range of birds and animals.
Ella Adventure Park abundant with a variety of fauna and flora is truly a magnificent place to spend a vacation. Ideal for nature lovers, the park consists of 10 Jungle Chalets, the Ankelipauwa camping site and a few Eco Lodges on the banks of the Kirindi Oya located a 20 minutes walk down from the main site. Travellers can experience adventurous outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking, cycling and camping. 
Outdoor lovers will enjoy the simplicity of the comfortable yet rustic accommodation built with locally found recyclable material. The Park is a member of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), International Eco Tourism Society and the Filed Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka.
